Mr. Yee is heavily involved in the firm's representation of
automotive manufacturers in breach of warranty matters, and
heads up the firm's employment law department. He graduated from
the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2001. Mr. Yee
is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Michigan
and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of
Michigan.
Before joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Yee developed an expertise
in consumer protection law while employed with General Motors.
Mr. Yee represented General Motors in more than 150 arbitration
hearings around the country involving disputes with consumers
asserting claims under state and federal consumer protection
statutes.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Yee has continued to devote a
substantial portion of his time to the representation of
automotive manufacturers in the defense of consumer claims
arising under the Michigan Consumer Protection Act, the Michigan
Lemon Law, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, and other consumer
protection statutes.
In addition to his consumer litigation expertise, Mr. Yee has
also developed an employment law expertise, representing and
advising employers of all sizes with respect to employment
matters including, but not limited to, drafting employment
manuals, employee policies, employment agreements, non-compete,
non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, hiring,
discipline and firing, and employment discrimination and
wrongful termination claims.
